Frequently asked questions

What can I build with Marnix?

Marnix is best for web applications: dashboards, SaaS tools, landing pages, internal tools, social apps, e-commerce storefronts, productivity apps, and more. If it runs in a browser and can be built with React and Next.js, Marnix can build it. Very complex apps with deep custom logic may require manual coding after export, but the heavy lifting is done.

Is the code mine?

Yes, entirely. Once generated, the code belongs to you. You can export it, modify it, sell it, or deploy it commercially. Marnix doesn't retain any ownership or rights to what it builds for you.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Export your code and deploy it to Vercel, Netlify, or any hosting provider, then connect your custom domain through their dashboard. Marnix doesn't host your app — it builds it. Deployment and domains are handled by whichever host you choose.

What languages does Marnix support?

Marnix supports 10 languages: English, Dutch, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The language is automatically detected from your browser settings. Voice mode works in all supported languages — just speak naturally.

How does voice mode work technically?

Voice mode is powered by Vapi, a real-time voice AI platform. When you start a huddle, Vapi opens a live audio session between you and Marnix. Your speech is transcribed in real time, processed by Marnix's AI, and Marnix responds with voice. The conversation continues until both you and Marnix agree on what to build, then the generation begins.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription from your account settings at any time. You'll keep access to Pro or Business features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

What is Marnix Remote?

Marnix Remote is the iOS companion app for Marnix AI. It lets you start voice huddles and iterate on builds from your iPhone. The results sync to your browser in real time — so you can describe an app on your phone during a commute and find it waiting for you on your laptop when you're back at your desk. It's currently available via TestFlight.

How do credits reset?

Credits reset monthly on your billing renewal date. If you signed up on the 15th, your credits reset on the 15th of every month. Unused credits don't carry over — each month you start fresh with your full plan allocation (300 for Free, 2,000 for Pro, 5,000 for Business).

Does Marnix get better over time?

Yes. Marnix learns your preferences as you build — your preferred design style, technology choices, patterns you like, and things you always change. The more you use Marnix, the more it behaves like a CTO who knows your taste. This learning is stored in your account profile and improves across every build.

Can I connect a real database?

Yes, through the Supabase integration. Connect your Supabase project and Marnix will automatically create the right database schema, configure authentication, set up row-level security, and wire it all into your generated code. See the Supabase integration guide for full details.
